So who's this douchebag? No one really knows. He doesn't really know. His official title is "the Witness", but he's had an awful lot of names over an awful lot of years. Thousands of years, if anyone's counting, which no one is. The most recent name is "Eshkol", so that will do for now. Being pulled out of his world means he doesn't currently have a master, which means he doesn't currently have a purpose. And that's the first new experience in a really long time.
